Onimaru and Bigby enter the fray!

Let slip the dogs of war; General Onimaru and Judge Bigby Hayes are the next two characters to join the cast of Yomi 2! They’re two of the high ranking officials who enforce the strict laws of the tyrannical Sirus Quince’s Flagstone Dominion.

You can find the full patch notes here.

Onimaru is an armored juggernaut who wields a giant, two-handed sword. He pummels his opponents with high damage normal attacks that can’t combo into anything else, but they give him the edge so he can keep swinging for the fences. While he has the edge, those same normal attacks also become faster and unblockable!

These powerful, dominant moves help him control the tempo of a fight; he needs fewer cards in hand to take down his opponents, and he even has an unblockable level 3 super. His other super, Clockwork Soldiers, summons an army of robotic minions that help restrict his opponent’s options even further.

Outplan and outmaneuver your opponents, then deal them a deadly, crushing blow!

The “honorable” Judge Bigby is a grappler character with an emphasis on controlling his opponents, either with his powerful throw game or his innate ability, Injunction. Putting cards from your opponent’s discard pile on the bottom of their deck prevent them from exchanging for them later; this can even take their Low or High Block away for most of the game if they’re not careful.

Bigby’s first super, Jail, essentially takes away your opponent’s turn until they’re able to discard a pair to get it back; that means they usually need to keep a pair in hand just to handle the threat of getting hit by Jail at all. Oppressive! His mechanical arm can even throw opponents when “throws are disabled”, which can happen a variety of ways.

Use the law and an iron fist to protect the integrity of the court!

One last thing! We’ve added the third location to the single player Career Mode, Neutral Grounds. If you can fight through the ranks and win the tournament there, you’ll unlock another new wacky ruleset, Wild Night:

There’s lots more to come for our single player career mode; keep fighting to see if you can become the most powerful Yomi player in the city!

That’s all for now. Thanks so much for being a fan of our games. We hope to see you online or chatting with us about our games in our Discord channel. See you next time!
